Beyond the Classroom: My Co-op at Boston Ballet School

By Ella Faith Albano June 28, 2025

I had the privilege of working as a studio administrator and operations co-op at Boston Ballet School for six months through Northeastern University's co-op program. This role provided invaluable insights into administrative operations, cross-departmental marketing strategies and the dynamics of arts-based nonprofits.

The experience was so rewarding that I've continued with the organization as a part-time studio administrator beyond my co-op. The connection with such a dedicated team has been instrumental in shaping my professional foundation.

Throughout my time at Boston Ballet School, I took on diverse responsibilities including conducting comprehensive research projects, executing marketing tasks and providing operational support for both summer intensives and year-round dance programs. This role allowed me to develop proficiency in Tessitura, while strengthening my expertise in Microsoft Office applications.

This experience reinforced my passion for working at the intersection of operations, marketing and mission-driven organizations. I'm grateful to continue contributing to Boston Ballet School's mission.
